Are there any hotel deals on Atlanta hotels?

When you live in an area, the likelihood that you’ll have any quality information regarding the best hotel deals is usually pretty slim. Unless, of course, you work in some aspect of the hospitality industry.

While I do not work in hospitality, several of my good friends work for various local restaurants, inns, and some of the nicer Atlanta hotels.

So, when my future in-laws decided they needed to check in on their little girl and learn why she was living with me, we opted to find them accommodations outside of our home. Well, to be honest, we only have a two bedroom apartment in downtown Atlanta, and we’ve converted one of those rooms into an office that both of us use for our full time employment.

Given that we need to be in our space during the day, and work in that spare bedroom, there was simply no way we were willing to have guests staying in our space for almost an entire week. And to my slight surprise, my fiancé completely agreed that it would be far better for our mental health if we were able to find quality nearby accomodations.

In addition to asking some of our friends for accommodation advice, one of them suggested that we send the folks to the Atlanta Travel Guide online, where they could plan some outings while they were here. Worked out like a charm!

I love those travel websites some cities have put up. It makes going around that city so much easier. Hope your in-laws had fun!

Sometimes even if you don’t know anyone in the industry, it’s still possible to get good deals. You just have to be resourceful.

    Thanks for the info!
