Halloween Costumes for Infants

It used to be good enough to take a pillowcase, cut a hole in it and pull it over baby’s head to dress him (or her) up for Halloween. But these days, the business of infant Halloween costumes is a lot more creative. Some people still choose to make their own costumes, but even they will usually shop around locally to get a little inspiration for what their precious little one should be for Halloween.
A wide selection of baby Halloween costumes is available in most shops where baby clothes are sold. You can choose from popular character costumes, creative clothing that can double as a costume and even ornate costumes that can be very expensive. The type of infant costume you choose is ultimately a matter of personal preference, but there may be other points to consider.
When choosing Halloween costumes for babies, bear in mind that babies have difficulty regulating their body temperature – if you’re going to be out trick-or-treating with bigger children on a chilly autumn night, you’ll want an infant costume that keeps your baby warm. On the other hand, if you live in an area where it is likely to be quite warm, you’ll want to avoid full-body suits that might make your baby overheated on a balmy fall evening.
