Being a Kid Again

One of the positive aspects of being a parent is getting be a kid again and enjoying the things you enjoyed as a kid. Once your child is ready to start exploring his or her world, you can rediscover it for yourself. Seeing life through the eyes of a child allows you the opportunity to appreciate things that you might ignore otherwise.

Our children lead us out one snowy day and it was clear that sleigh riding was going to be a favorite activity. Dressed in childrens ski clothes, our little ones took their sleds up and down the hills, squealing with glee, cheeks red from the chill in the air. They took turns blazing trails with their sleds while we took videos and pictures of their fun. Our daughters, bundled up in kids snowboard jackets, could hardly walk up the hills but neither complained about being cold or wet. Our son’s pants stayed dry underneath his kids ski pants as he buried himself in snow from head to toe. They were warm and comfortable and enjoyed the thrill of sleigh riding and snow play without the discomfort from the wet snow. The fun lasted for hours and the first quitters were my husband and me.
