You may have noticed that there is a growing market for custom veils.  A lot of brides are opting for something that is a little more personal, that is designed specifically to suit their gown.

There are many ways to customize a veil.  For instance, you might customize the material it is made from — perhaps you want a different color, or even a different weight netting.  When I was planning my wedding, I actually had my veil made from a sheer fabric called georgette instead of tulle, so that it draped softly to match the lines of my dress.  Some brides may even choose a crystal veil, which is beaded with glittery clear crystals for a sparkly effect.

Another way to customize your veil is with the headpiece of your choice.  There are a variety of tiaras out there to choose from, and are popular headpieces among brides.  Another option is not to do any headpiece at all — I’ve seen lots of good looks where the bride does an elaborate up do, and pins the veil beneath it so that it seems to blossom from her hair.

No matter how you choose to customize your veil, the point is that with a customized veil, the look is all yours.
