Wandering through a local wholesale outlet the other day, I was struck by how many dog items were for sale for dogs and cats in anticipation of the Christmas holiday. Since when did we start buying Christmas presents for our pets? One of the items I found interesting was a doggie bed for dogs of all sizes. My dog wouldn’t need a doggie bed because he sleeps between my husband and me in our king size bed. He lies on my good couches and has even commandeered the lazy boy chair once saved exclusively for my husband. Our dog uses every piece of furniture in our home for his comfort.
