What is the bid deal about “thread count”? My girlfriend insists on using that as the basis for our linen and I still haven’t figured out the difference. I will admit the sheets are a little softer than I’ve had in the past but it has to be more than that.

I have to say, this is about as true as it gets. I currently have a cheap comforter on a bed that I can’t stand. The color was there, but the size is wrong (I have a pillow top matteress) and the thing looks wrinkled. Don’t cheap out: you have to live with it a long time.

I thought it would be simple, Go to the store see something you like and pay for it but now it seems I have had the wrong approach for years. Your ideas are good but it will be hard for me to change my ways.

In the past all of my bedding purchases have been based on price more than the things you listed but you do make good sense. There is nothing worse than covers too short or comforters too small to fit. Like everything in life, you get what you pay for.

Hey, even if I lived in Podunk Indiana I would want a good security system. they do more than prevent burglary, they ar there for us when there are accidents or even fires. If you can put one on your tent when you are camping, even that would be a great idea!
