My Great Deal

My hot tub is one of pure beauty.  It is a pretty marble design surrounded by redwood.  The redwood is this beautiful rich wood color that has a hint of red to it.  It was not a cheap hot tub in the sense that it was made haphazardly, but it was cheap as in the fact that for a hot tub for sale, it was a great price.  It was such a great price, that at first I was amazed by how good of a deal I was getting.  I am a bargain shopper from the core of my being, so I wanted to make sure that it really was a great deal.

After I did some research on different hot tubs and hot tub companies out there, I assured myself that I was indeed getting a very good deal on the whole thing.  I cannot believe that with some simple research that I was getting exactly what I wanted at a price lower than I had expected to pay.  With what is going on with the economy, there are good deals out there. Companies also need to realize that there are still people with disposable income to use, which is exactly how I bought this hot tub.

Really? That sounds wonderful. I’d love to hear about this place and take advantage of getting one, too. I think they really help the resale value of your home, too, don’t they? If not, I can just take it with me.

Is there a reason that so many hot tubs are made of redwood? Is it pressurized to hold up to the weather? I always thought that it would be a good idea to make them out of Trex deck material.

Actually, I DONT want the companies to realize that there are lots of people still with disposable income to use. I want them to think none of us have money, so they lower their prices even more. Even if they just do free delivery and installation, that would help!

How do you go about looking for a cheap hot tub?
Do you actually just Google “cheap hot tub”? Or “cheap spa”? And while I’m asking, is there a difference between a hot tub and a spa?

I don’t think there’s a difference between a hot tub and a spa. I think a jacuzzi is the same thing, too, but I think that’s a brand name. The only big difference is when you think of a sauna. That’s actually a steam room.

I used to have a hot tub that I loved a lot. But after 8 or 9 years in the weather, it looked a little weathered. Don’t make the same mistake I did and put paint on it instead of stain! The paint will just peel off! Get a colored stain and you’ll be a lot happier.

For those of you uninitiated who might think that you can’t get a hot tub and keep it running thoughout the winter–you can! I know lots of people that keep theirs going. Even if you don’t, put it on the “freeze prevention” setting rather than just turning it off. Otherwise, the lines could freeze and burst.

Did you research companies that deal exclusively on the internet or did you research companies that were regular brick and mortar stores? And if it was the former, were those companies from out of state? I’m really interested in this.
