Searching for the right sleep apnea machine

A few years back my step brother was finally diagnosed as suffering from sleep apnea. I say “finally” because it had been a number of years of suffering and long sleepless nights he had to go through before he finally received the proper medical attention and care that would ultimately save his life.
The first thing he had to do after his diagnosis was learn more about his condition. Googling is a great way to learn stuff, and one site offered him a series of informative articles about continuous positive airway pressure, or CPAP.
From this initial reading, he discovered that he was going to need to have his insurance company reimburse his purchase of a sleep apnea machine. And from what he knew to be the case with his insurer, this was not likely to be a challenge.
What he was less sure of, however was whether or not he would have any challenges with getting reimbursements with the variety of CPAP supplies he was likely to require.
In the past there had been some challenges when his wife needed to some rare and rather expensive medical procedures. They were covered, however, one wonders whether or not that was due to the extreme unlikelihood they would have to be paid out upon.
In the end, all went well, and my brother got all he needed to regain his good health.
