A Trip to the Bookstore

My husband and I love to go the bookstore. We go to Barnes & Noble, get coffee and treats, and then I often read or write while he browses. He especially likes to look at the new books — although I read more than he does, he’s actually probably more up-to-date on the newest releases, because of his bookstore habits!
Just this past week, when were at the bookstore, my husband picked up a book called The Athlete’s Guide to Yoga, by Sage Rountree. He’s decently active — lifts weights every other night or so, cycles several time a week in warm weather, and walks every day whenever he has the opportunity — so he was interested in the stretches in the book. We looked for it in the library’s online catalogue when we got home, but it wasn’t there, so we’ll have to go back and buy it if he’s still interested.
The search for the book online had us looking at a lot of yoga stuff. Apparently there’s this thing called Dahn Yoga that is very popular right now. It was founded by a Korean guy named Ilchi Lee, but I guess isn’t the same thing as what we think of as "real" yoga, but also combines principles of tai chi and martial arts. It has spread across the U.S. as a popular type of exercise: You’ll see evidence of Dahn Yoga in California, and NYC Dahn Yoga is popular too.
