Taking Care of Your Shuffleboard

Interested in buying a shuffleboard table? There’s more to it than you might think. Just like the importance of the surface in games like ping pong, bowling and billiards or pool, the importance of the shuffleboard table surface cannot be underestimated.
Firstly, you should take a look at a shuffleboard buying guide. It tells you more than you ever wanted to know, but then again, all of the information is important. And surprising. The surface of the playing area has to be just so. Did you know, for instance, that they have to be slightly concave? But a good guide will also tell you where you can save some money and where you shouldn’t cut corners. It all reminds me of that New Yankee Workshop tv show. Except it sure doesn’t seem like you can build one of these yourself. At least they want to make it seem that way so you’ll buy one instead!
Knowing all of this makes me wonder how they take care of these concerns when the shuffleboard surface is on the ground. Or on the deck of a ship in particular. Many cruise lines offer it right on board. Wonder if they take the same care and consideration in setting up the game.
