Alzheimer’s is one of the most devastating ailments that we come across in our lives and it is one that impacts a large percentage of the population. Awareness of this has led to an increase in the number of people working to prevent the disease or to help the patients suffering from it.
If you are interested in pursuing a career that can help patients with Alzheimer’s, here are a few of the jobs that you might seek to pursue:
- Medical research. We are desperately in need of a cure for Alzheimer’s which will only be found through medical research in the field.
- Direct care worker training. You can attend any number of caregiver training programs that will teach you how to work hands-on with patients who are suffering from Alzheimer’s.
- Writer / reporter. Awareness about Alzheimer’s is raised when alzheimer’s resources (like books) are made available to the public. You could write those books.
- Non-profit office admin. You can work as a secretary in a non-profit organization dedicated to Alzheimer’s issues.
