An Eye for Detail

I design golf clubs for a living.  When most people hear this, they think I probably have the easiest job in the world.  Change the color of the grip tape once or twice and call it a year, they think.  But the golfers I talk to understand the complexities of my job.  I constantly strive to get optimum performance out of my clubs.  Even the slightest alteration can have major effects on how the club plays on the course.  These golfers ask me how I go about my work, how I get my inspiration.  Well, just as they have an appreciation of my job, I must have an appreciation of their job.

I first learned this fact years ago at my golf academy.  I learned a lot about the business of golf, sure, but I also spent a lot of time out on the nearby courses with golfers.  I had a lot of golf training in my time at the academy.  This gave me a lot of insight into the mind of a golfer.  On the courses, I witnessed thousands of different situations.  Under each set of conditions, golfers needed different things from their clubs.  My understanding of the multifaceted needs of golfers provides the inspiration I need to create the most versatile clubs on the market.
