I think inside sales seems to be the way of the future.  I have noticed that retail methods are changing and less people seem to want to go inside a store to purchase goods.  I work for a team of telesales consultants and we focus on telesales outsourcing.  We have noticed that, over the past decade, our numbers of over the phone sales have increased greatly.  Due to customer feedback and telesales consulting workshops, I realized the fast paced nature of today’s life is not allowing people the time to physically go to a store and buy something they need. 

The Internet provides a great method of easy shopping in just a few clicks.  However, I have learned as an inside sales consultant that consumers generally feel more at ease when speaking with a person.  They have told me it can be more nerve-wracking to make an online transaction than an over the phone one.  I believe that, as the pace of the world continues getting quicker and quicker, soon old fashioned shops and stores won’t exist at all.  I believe that telesales will become even more popular than Internet shopping as people increasingly feel the need to be assured their hard earned money is being put into a transaction the correct way.
