As part of an assignment for my business class, I’m researching new and improved ways for companies to handle their document storage. When I started this project, I really had no idea how advanced online document storage has become.  While there will always be the need for traditional filing cabinets and storage boxes for some documents, there are quite a few more modern ways of storing your important documents.

But I’m still researching data storage solutions and how companies can improve their efficiency by hiring an outside company to help them scan and store older documents and set up a system for new documents.

Does anyone have any personal experience switching over from hard copies of documents to an online data storage system?  I’d like to include a section in my paper that has real people’s experiences with the newer storage systems.  I think it will add a nice personal touch and a bit of depth and context for the research aspect of the project.  I think it will also be good to outline any problems that could occur when making adjustments to a new digital storage system.  Any information that I can get from actual users will be a big help.
