Executive MBA Program Worth the Long Haul

Rising in popularity are executive MBA programs — programs that require traveling, extended class periods, and intensive studying.  This article demonstrates why some students are willing to go the extra mile (or hundreds of miles) to get their MBA.

Basically, when it is their career at stake, many students are willing to do whatever it takes to attend the best executive MBA program.  The article reports that this is more common in executives who choose to get their MBA on their own dime, rather than those who are only getting it because their employer wants them to (and is paying for it).

For instance, one of the students profiled in this article flew from Nashville to Chicago twice a month.  Each trip meant two days of studying and attending classes at the University of Chicago, only to fly home again just in time to gear up for another workweek.

Of course, traveling is not for everyone.  Thankfully, those who don’t want to travel can find an online executive MBA program.  Many of these are offered through reputable schools, and allow you to earn your education from wherever — and whenever — it is most convenient for you.
